Young Black Philanthropists
As part of our goal to support Black-led non-profits and programs and projects aimed at supporting issues affecting the Black community, PBGC is launching a Young Philanthropist program to educate the next generation of Black Philanthropists looking to make a change in their community.
PBGC will partner with past grantee partners to nominate two students from their organization to participate in this program.
Program Overview and Timeline
Young Black Philanthropist Nominations May-July
Young Black Philanthropists will:
- Participate in four (4) two-hour sessions 
- August - Community Building and History of Philanthropy and Giving Circles - October - Education on Grantmaking, bias, and community need, Grant nominations - December - Education on local organizations and determine grantmaking - February - Grant Celebration 
- Dedicate 1 hour a week to learning about Philanthropy and prep for sessions 
- Readings 
- Podcasts 
- Receive $595 stipend for participating and travel allowance for in-person meetings 
- Paid in installments
